Everytime you put a bumper sticker on your vehicle, it depreciates in value

I want to make a bumper sticker that says that.

People who actually put said bumper stickers on their cars may as well be saying "We will never be friends".

I think a comedian said that once. I probably didn't come up with it on my own.

Also, the depreciating value sticker, I think that was a collaboration with someone else. So I better not take credit for it.

I just think them lame and silly. Especially political ones. Politics change so frequently, and I like to think of myself as an evolving sort of gal with a mind that can consider and sometimes embrace new ideas, so I really don't want to be publicly supporting Huckabee still in 2020. Oh wait, I don't want to be supporting him now either. I forgot momentarily. Probably saw his bumper sticker on someone's car this morning. A vehicle that is now worth a buck fifty due to their support of him. But apparently they work, because for about 3 seconds there I was thinking that I supported him, which I don't. I just can't get over the people that are still supporting Kerry. Regardless of how you feel about the current president, who really thinks that Kerry was that much better of an option? And it's over, by some 4 years. Stop being a baby and focus on the now people. I at least expect to see those stickers covered up by Hillary's face.

I also think that your car should depreciate directly according to the stupidity of the statement being made on the sticker. For example, if you are actually in support of a specific cause, or displaying a personal passion, I think some moderate loss in value is called for. Because at least you are trying to be involved and informed. Profanity that purposely offends the grandfolk driving behind you should result in double that. BUT, if you however, put something on your car that you obviously think is profound such as "If you are having a bad day, be thankful for that too" your car not only loses all value due to your stupidity, but one should be required to pay a fee that directly benefits the community that you are forcing to read such trite dribble. And we need to stop the thought patterns that lead people to thinking it would be a good idea to put this crap on their car.

All that being said, I don't even own a car.

Anyway. I think some kind of legislation on that would be great. Because people thinking they are being clever or priding themselves on their social consciousness by proclaiming the need to save the box elder bugs (that I kill routinely and my roommate makes flounder in the toilet for awhile before flushing them so they might learn their mistake of daring to come into our home) should be shown the error of their ways. And it is our job. Because it takes a village.

Hahahahahaha. That parenthetical statement was so worthwhile.

Great post. I fully support this crusade.

you kill me! so I guess you wouldn't like my sticker that says:

Kids in the front seat cause accidents, accidents in the back seat cause kids.

dang, and I thought it was sooooo clever.

or how about: Friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies.

Seriously, that is funny and deserves a place on my bumper.

Thank you. And thank you.

Those are both great Stace, and I would promise not to hate you if you put them on your car on one condition: That they are placed next to the support of Sarah Jones in 2008 and her bill to ban bumper stickers.

Also, you're my cousin. That's not a condition, you just are.

when I get a truck, I am getting a bumper sticker that says "yes, this is my truck. No, I won't help you move."

Sorry. Some things have to be said up front (or from the rear, as it may be).
