Delusions of granduer and why I was late for work this morning

To start things off, it seems pertinent to inform you that I am typing this with one eye closed. My contact seems fuzzy this morning. Not fuzzy in texture, but in vision, although it does feel funny. Maybe even fuzzy. I swear I clean these things.

With that out of the way, I regret to inform you that I am addicted to yet another TV show. Amelia has taken to watching Bones and rented some of the first season this last weekend. And I watched them. All. And then last night we got the last 2 disks, and I watched until not incredibly late (being 3am this weekend) but past my bedtime. Good show. More witty and intriguing than I expected. One of the last episodes we watched had someone from the State Department coming to the Jeffersonian to interview them all to make sure they could have security clearance for the cases they worked on.....

This is why I am about to inform you that I did not get up in time this morning because every time my alarm went off, I very clearly remember thinking that I couldn't shower yet as I didn't have the proper security clearance to do so.

Seriously.

And I am very pleased to inform you that last night as I attended FHE, I played a rousing game of Boggle with a visitor from Australia. He is apparently visiting Utah for the women. As there are no women in Australia. Only men and kangaroos. And not very honest when it comes to Boggle. Kept making up spellings and insisting that they spell those words differently in his country. And making up elaborate definitions for made up words. He would be good at Balderdash. Crikey.
(Which he says they really dont say in his neck of the woods, but said it anyhow for our own enjoyment).

I love bones! and boggle. How very entertaining to play it with an Aussie. Was he cute? I hope not, don't go falling for a foreigner that will take you far far away from your loving family.

No worries Roxy. I knew that would be your first response, either that or Mom's. The Aussie's too short for me anyhow.

And should I be worried that my mother's dog is commenting?

yesterday I took out lily's pigtails in my sleep. Then when I woke up, I had to do it AGAIN. Just reminds me of your security clearance to shower. I hereby give you clearance. But I erally hope you have gotten it from someone else by now.

Thanks Rach! I've been waiting for someone to give me clearance.

I thought it a pretty good excuse though. Where's your homework? Oh I didnt have security clearance to work on it.

Who can argue with that?

I don't know how Roxy made that comment. I really don't. At one time I made a test web album with Roxy as the name but I don't know by what mysterious trickery of my computer that posted the comment under her name. Apparently she has her own blog now. Clever puppy!

I did ask her about the Aussie though and she feels the same way.
