Sew sweet

I just got an email from Urban Outfitters and while I am usually disappointed by the emails and catalogs that I continually get from them in hopes that they will stop carrying women's clothing that is designed for 12 year old boys, I love the gadgets and vintage inspired stuff like this Singer Pro that they carry.

I want to start sewing. And I want to do it on this sewing machine.

And today is my birthday. And
I have 2 showers coming up. And a wedding. I'm just
 saying. :)

All that aside. Isn't it cute? And pretty?
I'm sure that it's aesthetic value alone would greatly enhance my meager sewing skills that haven't improved much since I made the babydoll dress out of a tyedyed flower print and large flower buttons that I wore to my first school dance in junior high.

That and lots and lots
 of scrunchies.

Also they have lots of gadgets like the torture device looking thing shown above.

I'm not sure what it's for......it's a sewing helper....but it looks cool and like something straight from Lemony Snicketts Series of Unfortunate Events.

And this pin cushion. Maybe someone will just give me that.....

Joel?

I'll give it to you but I should warn you that 2-dimensional sewing is HARD.

Hope you had a good birthday, sarita. (Just so you know, that magnifing glass thingy with the little clamps is not a "sewing helper" like the catalog says, but definately for tying fishing flies. Love, Dad
