I think i'm gunna like it here

My new job began today. Which is always exciting. You know, filling out the W2's, getting introduced to a million people that you will not remember for a week at least. And getting razzed every other second. The dynamic in the office is a good one. And they are excited to have me. In fact, so eager that when I came in for my second interview, strangers started asking if I was going to accept the position. The one I hadn't been offered quite yet. Perhaps it's the flattery they give me, and perhaps its the honeymoon stage, but the commute to Lehi seems like nothing. All in all, good start.

The receptionist made a point of steering me towards the most eligible bachelors in the office. On the first day. I'm starting to think I wear some kind of label on my forehead. No matter, it was cute at the very least. Actually, for the first time in a long time, I am feeling perfectly content with my situation. A few guys that I could be potentially interested in if not just as super cool friends, and no pressure. On myself. I'm so done with that. And people telling me that when the guy from "the" good date I've had this year suddenly emailed after no contact for a prolonged period of time shouldn't get a response right away. I'm sorry, but if I don't find a person particularly appalling or scary, I respond (provided I don't get distracted). Purposely playing games is not my style. Either someone finds me interesting and worth conversing with or not. While I prefer the prior, I've come to terms with the latter. Mostly.

Miss Nelly of the new house helped me construct my super cool closet unit this evening. Much larger than I anticipated. It's like a canvas enclosed fort. Much taller than me. I think I'll throw a party.....in the closet. Or sneak away to Narnia. Speaking of closets.....Frances suggested that I get an armoire to solve my storage issues, one that could double as a time machine. "Debunking her friends thesis disproving time travel?" I asked......"He's not my friend" she replied.

It is now 1:47 in the morning, and I smell like smoke. Because I went to a barbecue. An indoor barbecue. Long story. Good food. More specifically, good authentic tacos. Mmmmm.

I also learned to play Simon and Garfunkel's 59th Street Bridge Song. I'm practically a musician.

I had a hard time following your pholosophical train of thought. I am sure it was profound. Tacos sound good. Dang, this baby better come soon because my brain cells are being stretched to the max.
