Sarah got her new camera last night. It was like Christmas. Or a late birthday. It was great. So I sat on the floor of Jess and Ryan's office unpacking all the goodies. With packaging materials all around me. I'm looking forward to playing in the coming days. With the camera.
Also, Jess was on a high that only the Victorian Trading Company catalog could provide her. It was pretty funny. Each time she turned the page, and Napoleon Dynamite-esque exclamation escaped her lips. Most often, an "I want that." So we were trying to order a completely essential item from there. I promise. (Really, I'm not just trying to be facetious here). But had some questions, so Jess calls the company, and was assisted by none other than Scarlet OHara. Later, I had reason to call (and okay, really just wanted to see who answered). Had myself a lovely conversation with Rhett Butler. Poor souls. Thank you for amusing me.
At around 11pm, I was getting ready to go home and to bed, when Jess announced that she had two Audrey Tautou dvd's that she had just received from Netflix. I asked she was watching one that night. She said maybe she would start one. We were silent for a moment, and I finally exclaimed "Fine, I give, I'll stay and watch foreign films with you." Yes, I'm a big pushover. And yes, Jess wasn't even trying. But it just goes to show that she is just that good. She has super persuasive powers that come with being the oldest child and getting us to do things for her.
Am I mistaken? Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night. And the subtitles on Pretty Devils arent translated all that well.
And I got a new camera. Giddy.
