Vegas Vacation

So here are the highlights of our weekend in Vegas:

Watching the Chilean-Canadian girls get watched by other tourists because they were sooo excited by everything. We kept on losing them and would find them off taking a picture of a blackjack table....like the ones on tv. They took pictures of everything.

Hearing repeatedly that the desert is soo pretty...because there are palm trees and mountains. Yeah, gorgeous in comparison to Toronto that's known as "the city built within a park" with its abundance of maple trees everywhere.

Hearing the girls whispering outside Dad's office after seeing all of his artifacts and guns that "All American's have guns."

Brian convincing the girls that his dad had his famous horse steaks waiting for them when we got in last night. Tamera had a fit, yelling "I can't eat a horse! I ride horses!" Brian told her that his dad was very sensitive and would be greatly offended if they didn't eat the horse steak... She asked if they hunted the horses, he explained that there aren't too many "wild horses in Utah, so we just have to buy the steak at Costco.....and you can't feed them to my dog because he's on a hunting diet." This went on for an hour. She still believed him when they dropped me off at my apartment.

Tamera believing me when I told her that we didn't have church in Vegas because it is the City of Sin.

Stopping for gas in Parawon at night. The girls went to use the "washroom" and Brian jumps back in the car, drives out into an empty dirt lot and turns off his lights and waits.

Well, I had fun. I am tired now and my legs hurt from walking the strip but it's worth it for truly appreciative people. They were just oohing and ahhing at everything. The scenery on the road, they loved driving through the gorge, the fountains at the Bellagio, Hoover Dam, Geraldine's favorite was when we went by the temple at night. Oh, and we went to a random singles ward (they had to go because they don't exist in good ol T.O.) and we found the brother of the elder that baptized Tamera when she was 16. So this week we get to show them Salt Lake.

I want to hear the rest of the Horse Steak Story. How wonderfully mean of him.
They are cute girls and I'm glad they had a good time. It's good they came in Feb and not July. They will always have the erroneous notion that Las Vegas is pretty!
Happy Valentines Day!

Hee, Brian's a funny kid. They really did think it was pretty and were amazed how warm it was in February. They said that they wanted to marry an american and live there. Happy Valentines Day to you too!

Brian does have a great sense of humor on the wacky side I'd say, just the way we like it, no?
He seems like a really sharp guy. does he read this blog?

I pretty sure he doesnt. Why? He's just a friend. :)

because if he reads it I might say something more, or less. You know. Why? Why do you ask? It's good to have friends.
