Jess was looking at this one and commenting on how much we look alike. Look...we have the same lips and smiling eyes. The teeth are a little off though.

Sarah...are you suffering from postaprephobia?

Postaprephobia is when you have a really cute post, usually including a picture, which aprehends you from writing new posts, for fear of pulling up your blog and not seeing the really cute post at the top.

Postaprephobia.

I think you have it.

Oh! Dare I correct THE Wordmeister herself? I go out on a limb....

ap·pre·hend
v. ap·pre·hend·ed, ap·pre·hend·ing, ap·pre·hends
v. tr.

1. To take into custody; arrest: apprehended the murderer.
2. To grasp mentally; understand: a candidate who apprehends the significance of geopolitical issues.
3. To become conscious of, as through the emotions or senses; perceive.

I think the more correct word would be "prevents", "deters", "discourages", "foils", "hampers", "hinders", "inhibits", "obstructs", "obviate", "precludes", "prohitbits", "restrains", "stifles", "Shirks", "Stymies" Or "Thwarts".

I think Maddie will be the inspiration for my Jack-o-lantern this year. I wonder how to make a dimple?

you never should have dared at your so called "correcting" me.

ap·pre·hen·sive adj.
Anxious or fearful about the future; uneasy. See Synonyms at afraid.

And as far as my usage of the word apprehend (i do admit i misspelled it) I was using it in the context that it was thwarting/arresting/preventing/alltheotherwordsyoulisted her from posting.

So tell me again, how was I incorrect? Maybe I am just missing something. I wouldn't put it past myself, I am very busy today. :)

Funny. I was just talking to Mom last night and she asked if I had read her comment. She was worried that she shouldnt have corrected you Nina for fear of retaliation.
