Maybe something about how in our dreams all the best and worst of ourselves comes out? Our hopes come true and the things we fear happen. We triumph and we make mistakes so awful that we are relieved to wake up. This is based on the dreamer having the appearance of an angel (her best self), but missing a wing and one wing is black instead of white--flawed, just as our flaws can be magnified in our dreams.

I dare you to beat that!

Dang you're good rach. I was thinking a little along the lines of being half awake, half asleep. Seeing the world through dreamers eyes, kinda like In Finding Neverland, the life of a cronic daydreamer. I suppose I just relate to that. You've caught me! I'm a dreamer.

That almost makes more sense, Sarita. One thing bothers me though: she has her eyes closed. I guess since she is upright she's not totally asleep...

and to everyone else, the dare was an invitation! I want to hear some more interpretations.

I see this as a person lying down...sleeping on the protection of an angelic wing...but also totally vulnerable to the dark.

I like this painting.

I want everyone to come see my blog too. It's lonely for visitors. www.lotsafun2behere.com

love you all...Kim

I know the interpretation of this....I read James's little blerb on it somewhere. It's funny cuz it had nothing to do with the title. He said that we are all angels with only one wing and that we only are able to fly together, embracing each other. 2 people = 2 wings.
