Exposed

This morning I felt miserable. Don't feel too bad for me, I am not a morning person so a little discomfort or fatigue means that I feel like I'm going to die. Basically.

But I got myself out of bed and out the door and walked in the frigid rain to the MAX, thinking I was doing great on time.....when the train started to arrive across the street before I was even close, so I decided to make a run for it. No biggie. I may look like a spastic maniac running while trying to close my umbrella and my purse is falling off my arm and my other bag of yarn is flailing, but that's okay. Midway I remembered that I am pregnant and nauseous and a little dizzy, but I still handled it and hopped on the train despite the guy blocking the door with his back to me who refused to move. I felt victorious.

Until I looked down and realized that while I was running this belly band designed not only to cover and smooth the fact that I'm wearing my regular jeans with the button undone but to help hold them up, had failed. My pants were well around (below) my hips, with the fly section sticking out all over, the belly band somewhere around my middle, and my glaringly white undergarments very exposed. In front and back. And seeing how I only look a little pregnant right now, people most likely just thought I was just crazy.

Which I am.

yesterday when I was standing up in front of my whole class putting on my jacket, I realized that my shirt had come unbuttoned and that I was exposing my entire bra and chest to my classmates. I'm dreading going back on Tuesday.

I have these pregnancy jeans from Motherhood Maternity with their famous no-see full panel thing. Well, let me tell you having a thick band at the top of the panel is actually really nice because the motherhood maternity panel is made out of very slick stretchy fabric. I find that over half of the time after I move in any fashion, my shirts have ridden up the panel and are right under my boobs. At least my garments aren't showing, but it still is really annoying. :) You're in Portland. I've seen worse on the MAX :)

Oh and Marcey, once I thought this cute pharmacist was totally flirting with me and then left and realized that the buttons at the top of my shirt had popped open revealing lots n lots of cleavage and bra for his viewing pleasure. I also ran into a new member of our ward (who I had officially welcomed to the ward in the new member meeting I conducted the day prior) before making this realization. I forgot that no welcome is complete without my cleavage.

Sarah, thanks for making me laugh. People wonder why I'm laughing at my desk while doing taxes...taxes are not that funny but I was secretly reading your blog.
I love you!
