Hot, hot, hot

How did I get to be such a wuss? I grew up in hot hot hot central California with humidity and very little air conditioning. And moved from the fire pan and into the fire of Las Vegas. While it is a dry heat.....it's definitely heat. And lived on the banks of Lake Ontario, which is freezing in the winter, but makes for a very humid and miserable summer (seriously the peak of my heat experiences) living in an unairconditioned, poorly ventilated apartment, where I got very sick due to heat exhaustion. And now, while my apartment is definitely not comfortable until about midnight, it's not anywhere near as bad as these previous cases. And yet, it seems the end of the world. Okay, so not really. And I've busy as a beaver lately and not home all that much. But I still reserve the right to dislike it. Our landlord has been looking into installing a new heating/cooling unit for, say, a year now. It might be done by the end of the summer.

I know, it's really not that hot yet, but even when it's just lovely outside, our apartment somehow retains heat better than our two ovens that will not be put to use for a few months. It matters not how many windows we open.

A move in the near future is looking very probable.

And I may be visiting California sometime in the near future. Central California. With a detour to Disneyland.

Hot is hot and cold is not.
As a rule, man's a fool, when it's hot he wants it cool and when it's cool he want's it hot, never wanting what he's got, always wanting what he's not.
Just a thought.
